Equipment Crane Division was happy to be
one of the sponsors in the “California
Construction Career Awareness Day”
(CCAD) in Vallejo, California. The
intention of the event was to show the
projected growth in the construction
industry through the year 2018, and was
held at Kiewit Pacific Co. Coastline
Equipment Crane Division was one of
thirteen companies and organizations
that sponsored the event, along with Cal
Trans, Skanska, C.C. Meyer’s, and
several other well known construction
businesses.
Coastline exhibited a Tadano 50-ton
rough terrain crane for live
demonstrations during the show.
Coastline team members simulated a crane
certification course for the students to
see how an actual certification test
happens in the crane world. Students
were also allowed to sit inside of the
operator cab and get an up close look at
all the controls that it takes to make a
crane move. Coastline donated a model
crane for the raffle.
Students that were polled at the end of
the event stated “that the event was a
huge success!”, and many stated that
they would not change anything about the
event. The Coastline Equipment Crane
Division team had a great time
sponsoring the event and getting to
interact with the students and teachers.
